Florida Senator Lauren Book recently found herself in a very difficult situation. So, a 19-year-old teenager first took possession of her personal photographs, and then put forward a demand to pay him $ 5,000 so that he would remove them. The guy’s name is Jeremy Kamperveen. And he was determined to receive money, and in case of refusal, he threatened to publish photographs of the woman’s bare breasts and thereby end her career.

Book did not hesitate for a long time and immediately turned to law enforcement agencies, which continued to negotiate with the teenager in her place. The woman herself hoped to avoid a public investigation and invoked Marsy’s Law to protect her identity as a victim. Lauren also denied the authenticity of the photos and videos that the teenager threatened to publish, and called them fake.
As a result, the undercover federal agents managed to arrange a meeting with the guy, ostensibly to transfer $ 4,000 in exchange for removing the stolen senator’s photos. So, Kamperveen was arrested in a cafe.
He was charged with extortion and cyber-harassment. Later he was released under the outpost, which was 60 thousand dollars.
